Raughton Head Young Farmers Club
The RHYFC held their Annual General Meeting at Primrose Hall, Gaitsgill on the
nd July 2019.  There was a good attendance and along with some entertaining proposals for officer holders, the following were elected:

President: Louise Wilson
Vice President: John Rowland
Chairman: Oliver Burbury
Vice Chairman: Tom Blamire
Secretary: Katie Rothery
Ass. Secretary: Emma McCune
Treasurer: Abi Marston
Club Leaders: Graham Holliday, Emma Thomlinson and Lisa Bowe.

October Meetings
7th - Quiz, round II
8th – Bake Off night, Primrose Hall, Gaitsgill – 7.30 pm.
10th - Situation Vacant
13th - County Sports
19th - County Fence Erecting
22nd – Talk from William Little (Director of Watchtree Nature Reserve).

The club set up at a stand at Dalston Show with a display of the activities they get involved in and also ran some fun competitions for visitors to the show.  They also met during the summer break for a few games of rounders on Raughton Head School field.

The first meeting of the new season was held at Raughton Head Primary School for a membership night and fun quiz.  What a great night with 40 attending including 10 new members.

Sunday 22
nd September the club visited the Calvert Trust near Keswick. The club have chosen the Trust as their fundraising charity for the year.  The members had a short talk from Rosie, who had previously visited the club earlier in the year, followed by an extensive tour of the facilities on site.  The Trust provides incredible outdoor activities for people with disabilities, along with a wonderful swimming pool and climbing wall.  The Trust is always looking for volunteers as well as fundraising to keep the centre running as it does.
