Hobby Drop-in Group
We meet on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month from 10.00 am - 11.30 am. in All Saints Church, Raughton Head.

The "New' Normal
A call to return to a ‘new normal' and an occasion to greet each other in the outdoors.
Weather permitting, we will have some tables on the grass verge in front of church.

10.00 am. -11.30 am. on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at All Saints Raughton Head.
We will respect social distancing guidelines and provide some antibacterial gel/sprays and paper towels.
Bring your own brew, seat or park yourself on the stone wall, any projects you are currently making or your ideas for a prayer flag.
I will bring along some recycled materials and printed guidelines for the flags to use at home or in other groups.
I look forward to seeing folk again and hearing about the ‘tales from lock down’.
- 1st July
- 15th July
These mornings will give us a chance to plan towards making a display of the flags along the church fence from 25th July 2020.

Please check the
Prayer Flags page for ideas and instructions.

The group creates a meeting place for local folk to meet and share their creative ideas. We are encouraging each other with various projects and share materials no longer needed. Spring cleaning time might uncover more craft projects yet to complete or share.
The community rag rug is still in progress and has worked around the edges; as one does in life. It now needs some more volunteers to learn the fine art of ‘clippy’ or ‘proddy’ mat making. We use recycled wool fabrics to complete the design of 'tulips in a vase.’
You are welcome to call in for a chat, a brew and to observe historic skills coming into their own again.
In the past year, we celebrated the creative talents of the community with a festival in church in October. The group have contributed many items for charity groups, the Shoe box appeal being one. We are open to any suggestions or requests to make hand-made items. The group have been kindly supported by the Parish Council Grants to acquire two sturdy fold-up tables which will allow for more projects to get underway. This support is greatly appreciated. Refreshments provided and any donations go to church funds.
